for something thats susposed to be better,i didn`t think it was better. first it takes forever to open.second the remote control doesn`t open the dvd player.you have to do it manually.third you can`t access the chapters while the movies playing.

i like the sony 360 blu-ray. it is a pretty basic model , but performs well. picture quality is good and sound quality better than good. is not that much better than up-convert dvd player. i really expected more out of blu-ray. i'm not disappointed though.

Bought this unit after reviewing many other units. Purchased mainly because it featured a coax digital output since all my optical were taken.
This player is very good, the video and sound is excellent, this includes up conversion.
That it doesn't have a eject on the remote means squat, I have to change the DVD regardless.
Very good player for the money, do not need all the add-ons.
Simply put, if you are looking for a good BR player this is a good choice.

I bought a new BDPS360 because I've had good luck with sony in the past. I should have researched blu ray technology before buying however, this player is like a PC running windows, it needs lots of updates. Since I'm a plug and play guy, updating a DVD player every month seems perposterous to me. If you dont have the latest downloaded software updates, some movies will not work. It has wifi capability I believe so its not that bad if it fixes you, I run a wired router so its a hassle. On top of that, the only available update did not fix my issue, which is common if you read up on them online. I purposely laid out of the blu ray hype for a few years and I thought these types of issues would have been worked out already. I REALLY dont want something else that needs a ton of maintenance just to perform its main function, it really is rediculous. I'm probably gonna go back to renting regular DVD's, havent tried one on it yet, hope it works. Oh yeah, ask your local BLOCKBUSTER employee about it too, they get lots of returned movies that wont play (not damaged, just wont work)
I gave it two stars because when it does work (50% of the time) it looks and sounds great, I dont recommend buying one now however.
